DAY 1 - Use Essential Oils

Essential oils have been used for thousands of years for medicinal and therapeutic applications. In fact, oils are mentioned in many historical texts, including the bible. It has been well documented for their uses and benefits in ancient African, Mesopotamian, Greek and Asian cultures.

Over the last twenty years, essential oils have become an integral part of our everyday lives, especially as more people are seeing the benefits of implementing a natural clean lifestyle. Today, you will find many people using essential oils in their homes, cars, and workplace. I am a big proponent of using essential oils in my practice. I have seen the results and clients reap the best outcomes, especially when they utilize essential oil brands that are of the highest quality, using best practices in the processing and distilling of the essential oils, and are certified organic, in its most natural form, free of toxins and chemicals.

There are so many great benefits of essential oils, and one of the most immediate is that it can often boost your mood.  Aroma crosses by way of frequency into the blood brain barrier and can offer quick results.  A combination of aromatherapy and applying topically tend to work the best on most people.

Be sure to follow the instructions by the manufacturers, Aromatherapist or your Naturopath for applying topically, as each oil has different potencies and react when used on skin, children or pets. Additionally, everyone body chemistry is different and some oils that may provide some help can cause anxiety in others. 

Also, I want to mention that there are many great essential oil product lines out there. I personally try to not take sides but have seen good results equally from Doterra, Young Living, Edens Garden and Rocky Mountain to name a few.

Every one tests differently when it comes to which brand of essential oil to use. It’s because each oil has its own frequency, and when doing a session I am looking for what their body needs at the time. So for instance, when I am in a session with a client, an essential oil from Doterra and another different oil from Young Living tests as good for this client. Then in the following session with another client, it could be Edens Garden and Rocky Mountain oils that this client is testing for.  

So you can see, each of the essential oils have their own frequencies and which essential oil and from which company they need completely depends on what the the person testing for at that time. 

With that said, I typically will investigate and research any product line before adding the testing catalog based on several key factors:

 

  1. Quality standards 
  2. Use of organic and clean ingredients  
  3. Manufacturer business practices 
  4. Product lines that tests well for a multitude of clients
 
Now let’s dive into my Top 11 Mood Boosting Essential Oils.

Top 11 Mood Boosting Essential Oils

Here are my personal favorite Essential Oils, in no particular order.

 

  1. Wild Orange often helps as quick pick me up and mild anxiety lifter
  2. Peppermint can create a mildly uplifted invigorated feeling 
  3. Lemon is very similar to orange along with any citrus, can lift your mood and offer mild stress relief
  4. Lemongrass can help with detoxing some sludgy negative energy quickly 
  5. Rosemary seems to be a great dopamine and serotonin balancer for certain people
  6. Ylang ylang tends to be good for hormonal balance in women in my experience and can also help with tension relief
  7. Black pepper used to calm that craving and obsessive thoughts and feelings
  8. Cedarwood typically tests well for boys and men who tend to absorb negative energy from others
  9. Bergamot used for helping frazzled nerves and uplifting feelings of overall well being
  10. Lavender is known to be a great calming the nervous system and promote  relaxation
  11. Blend varieties that hone in on specific moods and feelings you desire to emote like joy, hope, peace, calm, etc. Most oil lines carry mood blends
